How does the Creta stand on build quality and safety against European rivals?

by @ashutosh.kumarover 1 year ago0 views5 answers
Safety has been a bone of contention in the Hyundai Creta, particularly when compared to European rivals like the Skoda Kushaq or Volkswagen Taigun. The Creta has a great many safety features, but its crash test ratings have been less impressive than some of its rivals. Debate about whether Hyundai favors features over structural integrity has ensued for this reason. So, let’s talk about how safe the Creta is in the real world, how it fares in real accidents and if the safety concern is real or overblown.

It's somewhere in the middle. Not as robust as European cars, but not as bad as some want you to think. It's perfectly safe for most everyday situations.

As Creta owner, I am safe in my car. The safety features are good work and the car feels solid. Crash tests do not paint the whole picture.

Creta’s safety is OK, but not great. The body structure could be stronger but it’s got all the essential features. The features you get are a tradeoff.

No comparison. Build quality and safety belong to European cars leagues ahead. Creta sounds tinny in comparison. For peace of mind I'd always go for a Skoda or VW.

Creta cannot be compared to European cars. Creta is decent on safety for its price point. And Hyundai has been getting better with every generation.
