How does the Bajaj CT 110X compare with scooters in city traffic?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
The debate of motorcycles versus scooters for urban commuting has been going on for ages and the Bajaj CT 110X often finds itself the subject of these debates. Being a small displacement motorcycle it is with different riding experience from the usual automatic scooters that rule the city streets. The CT 110X's narrower profile and more powerful engine are better suited to threading through tight traffic, its proponents say. But scooter fans say the ease of use, storage space and step through design are the advantages in urban environments. This is often followed by comparison of sometimes fuel efficiency, maintenance cost, and other practicality criteria to commute daily. This is a question that always comes up for new riders or folks looking to move up from a scooter to a motorcycle to figure out which will be best for their urban riding needs.

In heavy traffic, the CT 110X’s manual gearbox is often a pain. A scooter might not be as tiring if you have a lot of stop and go on your commute.

I’d stick with a scooter for pure city use. Now, if you also do some highway riding, the CT 110X is more versatile.

The CT 110X is great but my old scooter had storage space. It's a case of a practicality versus riding enjoyment trade off.

For city commutes, I love my CT 110X. It’s more engaging to ride that a scooter and I feel more confident in heavy traffic.

It's a toss-up. Scooters are easier in stop and go traffic, but the CT 110X is more fun to ride and feels more stable. Depends on your preference.

City riding is still all about scooters. The CT 110X is good but the flat floorboard and storage space is what a scooter offers you can't beat.

I changed from a scooter to a CT 110X which is much easier to weave through traffic. The big difference is in the narrow body and better acceleration.
