It is excellent fuel efficiency for a 160cc scooter. Some smaller scooters I've owned are more economical, but this is cheaper.

I believe it's a good compromise. You don’t get the kind of performance you get from a 125cc, without taking a big hit on fuel economy.

How you ride it is all. If you're always trying to push the performance, then it'll drink more fuel. However, when ridden sensibly, it’s very efficient.

As for gas guzzlers, the STX 160 is a gas guzzler compared to the smaller scooters. Fuel economy is not your priority.
