How does the Aftek Motors Etwo perform in wet weather?
Riding electric scooters in the rain is tricky and potentially dangerous too. Many e-scooter enthusiasts are wondering how the Aftek Motors Etwo holds up in less than ideal weather conditions. Have you taken it on a wet surface and seen how it handles? Do you use it for rainy day rides and if so, are there any special features or design elements that make it more suitable for such weather? In wet conditions what precautions should Etwo owners take? In this post, we'll talk about our experiences, tips and concerns about using the Etwo when the weather doesn't cooperate. For people in areas where it rains a lot, or for owners who want to get the most use out of their scooter all year, this information could be critical.
I’ve ridden my Etwo in light rain a few times and it works surprisingly well. They do have some good grip in the tires, but I’m still careful turning corners.
Honestly, I wouldn't risk it. Water and electric scooters don’t get along. On rainy days, I would rather take the bus than maybe ruin my Etwo.
In damp conditions it's fine, but I wouldn't trust it in heavy rain. Without fenders, you get a nice stripe up your back if you're not careful!
My Etwo is now much more water resistant, I have added some aftermarket fenders and a silicone sealant around the deck. Now it handles wet roads like a champ.
I still feel nervous when it’s really slippery out there, but the Etwo’s low center of gravity helps with stability on wet roads.
My Etwo is my food delivery vehicle if it’s raining or not. So far it’s held up well but I make sure to dry it off thoroughly after each wet ride.
Solid tires are great in the wet – no hydroplaning like pneumatic tires. Just brake more carefully.
