How do you feel about the F-150's infotainment system - love it or hate it?

In recent F-150s, Ford has placed a lot of emphasis on technology, with big touch screens, digital gauge clusters and things such as over the air updates. SYNC infotainment system has been through many changes and the reviews from owners and critics are mixed. Some hate it for its bugs, lag, complexity of menus, while others love it and praise it for functionality and ease of use. It also sparks debate about whether physical buttons, or touchscreen controls are better for common functions such as climate control. How does the F-150's tech hold up against its competition? Is it a source of selling point or frustration? For those that have owned multiple generations of F-150s, what has the in-car tech looked like year over year?

I have a 2022 with the 12 inch screen and I love it. It's very responsive, intuitive, and the graphics are really crisp. Apple CarPlay works flawlessly. The only thing annoying is using the touchscreen for climate controls, but you get used to it.

I’m old school, I hate how everything is buried in touchscreen menus. I’ll take physical knobs and buttons any day. The AC shouldn't have to take my eyes off the road to adjust. I think the tech is impressive, but not very user friendly.

Infotainment is fine; the digital gauge cluster is the real star. It’s so awesome to be able to customize the display and have navigation right in front of you. This makes the truck feel a lot more modern and high tech.

I've had SYNC 3 and 4 and 4 is better but it still has its quirks. It lags or glitches out sometimes. In theory, the over the air updates are nice, but they've caused me more problems than they've solved.

The tech in my new F 150 is blowing me away coming from an older truck. The 360 degree camera, the smartphone integration, the huge screen, they’re all very useful. It's got a learning curve, but once you're used to it you won't want to go back.
