How do you fare with the Classic 350 S Redditch Edition in city traffic?

Everyday many motorcycle riders join the fray of busy city streets and congested traffic. If you are an urban commuter and looking for a bike with half decent engine size and an equally convivial and retro styling, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 S Redditch Edition could just be for you. Opinions about its suitability for city riding are divided, however. All these factors make a bike a great choice for urban riding – proper maneuverability in tight spaces, low speed stability, good clutch feel, good throttle response, etc. The bike's weight and turning radius are also important with regard to how easily it can be handled in stop and go traffic. However, for those thinking of the Redditch Edition as a daily commuter, it’s important to know its strengths and weaknesses on urban roads.

It's a mixed bag. They have great visibility and presence on the road, but can feel a little cumbersome in really tight spaces.

In the summer the engine heat in traffic can be pretty intense. If you are in a hot climate, something to consider.

It’s perfect for city riding in my opinion. It’s not too speedy so you don’t need to constantly fight the urge to go faster, and it’s comfortable for short hops.

It's okay, but not great. The wide turning radius can be a real pain when you need to make a U turn, or when you have to park in a tight spot.

It’s actually pretty good once you get used to it. A torquey engine means you don’t have to shift much in slow traffic.

In stop and go traffig, the weight can be a bit much. That heavy clutch will get your left hand a workout.

It's a breeze in the city. You have a great view of traffic in an upright seating position and it’s nimble enough to weave through jams.
