How could the Bolero Camper be modified to appeal more to younger buyers?

by @ashutosh.kumarover 1 year ago0 views10 answers
However, the Mahindra Bolero Camper hasn’t been a go to choice for younger buyers in most segments. Its utilitarian design along with the basic features are more friendly to those who adore function more over style and modern amenities. But there’s growing interest in how the Camper could be updated or modified to lure a younger demographic. That has prompted discussions on what could change about the vehicle in order to make it more appealing without losing its core identity. Cosmetic upgrades, interior modernization and performance enhancements to tech integrations are some of the ideas. The problem is how to retain the Camper's tough, no nonsense character while adding features that will appeal to younger customers who tend to be attracted to cooler, more feature laden vehicles. This question examines what we might change to close that gap, and possibly place the Bolero Camper in the realm of cool, customizable, adventurous, young buyer real estate.

Customization options from the factory to focus on. Give buyers the ability to choose a color, pick some accessories, select some features, whatever, to make it their own.

It needs more power! A beefier engine option is dropped in for those who want a little more oomph in their adventure rig.

What about working with a cool outdoor brand? It could be a hit as long as it’s a limited edition model with custom gear included.

Honestly, not much. What makes it so charming is how simple it is. It could just be updating the styling a bit and throw some basic tech in there like Apple CarPlay.

It’s just not marketed well. Show it being used for cool stuff. Mobile coffee shops. Adventure rigs. The young crowd will come.

It would be cool to have a modular design. Buyers can swap out the back easily for different setups – camper one weekend, work truck the next.

Stop trying to be 'young and hip'. It then doubles down on its utilitarian vibe. But the adventure crowd will make it even more rugged and capable.

What about an electric conversion kit? It would really appeal to eco conscious young buyers and that would really turn heads.

It requires a full interior overhaul. But add a decent infotainment system, better seats and some modern safety features.

Throw some chunky off road tires, a lift kit and some cool wrap job on it. A mobile of instant Instagram worthy adventure.
