Toyota Vios is just the name of the Toyota rival of the Perodua Myvi, the compact car of choice in Malaysia. There are some who say that the Vios is basically a sedan version of the Myvi, and thus provides little more in terms of features, performance or value. All of these comparisons beg the question as to where the Vios sits in its market, and whether the higher price commanded over equally affordable options like the Myvi is warranted. It also deals with the larger question if compact sedans have a real edge over hatchbacks when it comes to everyday driving in cities.
