Does the Fortuner Legender off road as well as dedicated off road SUVs?

The Legender variant offers these core capabilities with a more premium and stylish variant. But it's not clear how it measures up against purpose built off road SUVs like the Jeep Wrangler or Land Rover Defender. Others think that the Legender’s more road oriented tires and luxury features may come at the expense of its off road abilities, while some still think it is a great compromise between on road comfort and off road capability. This is a question of whether the Fortuner Legender can actually cut it in serious off road situations or is it better suited to light trail duty and occasional rough road use.
