Do the Kia Carnival’s VIP lounge seats actually feel comfortable for longer trips?
One of the nicest things about the Carnival is its second row VIP lounge seats which have power adjustments, heating, ventilation and even a leg rest that extends out like a recliner. Kia has sold these seats as a luxury feature that makes the Carnival a minivan apart. But there’s been some debate about how comfortable these seats are for long periods, especially on long road trips. Other users, meanwhile, say the seats are incredibly comfortable and that relaxed long journeys are a breeze in them; whilst some have complained of the lack of recline angle, little support in some positions and, literally, that the leg rest isn't practical for those above a certain height. Of course, there's also discussion about whether these premium seats are worth the extra cost and loss in versatility over standard removable or stowable second row seats in other minivans.
They're amazing! I drove a 12 hour road trip and felt like I had a first class seat on a plane. The best car seats I have ever used.
