Do owners of the Bajaj Platina 100 really have the king of mileage?
The Bajaj Platina 100 is famous for being extremely fuel efficient and some owners even claim that the bike has delivered them up to 90 kmpl! But does all of this sound realistic, or is it just marketing hype? Actual fuel efficiency depends upon real world conditions, riding style and maintenance. There are some users that swear its mileage drops consistently over time, while others will swear its mileage drops in disappointment. So let's have a look at what the owners of Platina have to say about this budget commuter and if it really is a fuel sipper.

But, let’s be real, no bike ever gives its claimed mileage. It does better than most, but don’t expect miracles.

The saving grace of the Platina is its mileage. It’s not the most exciting ride, but when you’re getting 80+ kmpl, who cares about thrills?

I believe the mileage claims to be legit, but only under ideal conditions. Expect around 70 75 kmpl in real world city riding which is still good for a 100cc bike.

The mileage is good but it is stretching to call it the 'king'. With better build quality, my Honda CD 110 Dream gives similar figures.

You all need to learn how to ride efficiently. Even after 3 years, I’m getting 85-90 kmpl. The whole point is smooth acceleration and steady speed.

King of mileage? More like king of disappointment. Within 6 months my mileage dropped from 85 to 60 kmpl. Bajaj's claims are totally exaggerated.

I’ve been riding Platina for 2 years now and get 75-80 kmpl in city traffic consistently. It’s not the 90 kmpl that Bajaj advertises, but it’s not bad at all.
