Could the Nissan Sunny really be as bad as its reputation?
The Nissan Sunny has a pretty bad reputation, like in Dubai. Slow drivers, left lane hogging and outdated design are all things people complain about. Is this diagnosis fair, or is it just stereotyping? In this post, we’re going to dig into the pros and cons of the Sunny and determine if it really deserves all the hate it gets. It’s possible there are some hidden gems in this budget friendly sedan we are overlooking. Maybe there are legitimate reasons why it has become the poster child for frustrating driving experiences. How do you feel about Sunny - misunderstood budget hero or rightful maligned road nuisance?
The Sunny isn’t the most beautiful car, but it’s not as ugly as people say it is. A reliable, roomy car that does what it’s supposed to. It’s not exciting, sure, but not everyone needs or wants a sports car.
Nah, the hate is justified. The car is boring, and the drivers are boring. It's a design straight out of the 90s, and painfully slow. For the same price, there are way better options.
Bad drivers shouldn't be blamed on the car. Any car can be driven poorly. It's actually pretty decent for what it is - a cheap, fuel efficient sedan.
It's not the car that's the problem, it's the rental companies that are flooding the market with them. Of course you're going to see lots of drivers that are inexperienced in Sunnys when it's the go to rental car.
I’ve driven one and I’m not even sure it’s that bad. It's quite spacious and comfortable in the back and you can spend long drives on it. It’s not a performance car, and it’s not supposed to be.
