Can the Shotgun 350 make as big a splash on the road as its bigger cruisers?
Bobber inspired design with unique styling elements make Royal Enfield Shotgun 350 look to catch the eye on the road. But, it does so in a market which has traditionally been ruled by the road presence of larger displacement cruisers from Indian as well as international brands. With that in mind, one wonders if a 350cc motorcycle can really compete with bigger bikes in terms of visual impact, not to mention the intangible 'cool factor' that many cruiser riders want. It also frequently revolves around engine sizing as opposed to design, perceptions of what makes a bike impressive, and the part played by brand heritage in making a motorcycle’s aura.
Size isn't everything. That head turning factor of the Shotgun will get people to look twice.
No way. To really make a statement on the highway you need those big V twins.
It has a different kind of presence. Not highway beast, more urban cool.
In India, there is always a reason to whip out your camera when you see a Royal Enfield. It will be no different than the Shotgun.
That’s not about competing with the big cruisers. It's creating its own niche.
The right exhaust will make it sound meaner than bikes twice its size.
It’s more about the rider than the bike. If you rock it with confidence, it will stand out.
On the road, a nimble 350 could actually be more noticeable than a cruiser.
