Can the CT125X really work as a long distance tourer?
Although intended as an urban commuter, some riders have been taking the Bajaj CT125X on longer trips and even multi day tours. It has ignited debate as to whether the bike can be used for longer journeys. Is the CT125X a comfortable, reliable and performance machine for long distance riding? What challenges and limitations can riders expect when touring on this budget friendly machine? Do we have any success stories or cautionary tales from those who have tried long trips on the CT125X? The question is, can this affordable commuter double as a budget touring option, or is it better left in the city?
I wouldn’t recommend it for serious touring. After an hour or two, the seat gets uncomfortable and being bare to the wind on a highway is a problem. For short trips, it’s fine, but you’d be better off with a proper touring bike for long distances.
