Can the CT110X ES take some light off roading or rural roads?
While the CT110X ES is really an urban commuter primary, it does have some rugged features like a solid build and semi knobby tires along with it. As a result, some owners have wondered whether it can do more than paved city streets. Can it cope with village roads, gravel paths or even light trails? How does the suspension handle the roughest terrain? Has anyone taken this bike off the beaten path, and are there any limitations or potential issues to be aware of? So let’s hear from riders who have taken the CT110X ES past what it was designed for and see if it really is as versatile as some say it is.
It's surprisingly capable! I’ve been on mine on some pretty rough village roads and had no problems. Great ground clearance.
It can do basic stuff but don’t expect miracles. It isn’t great for extended off road use.
I regularly use mine on farm tracks. It’s not a dirt bike, but it works if you’re careful.
It’s not something I would recommend for serious off roading, but it’s fine for the occasional unpaved road or gravel path.
The bike was not really built for light off road use, but the tires are good for it. After rough rides I've had some rattles develop.
You wouldn’t believe how capable it is! Don't push it too hard though and you'll be amazed where it can go.
I've done some light trails and it was fun but at the limit of what the bike can cope with. Stick to easier terrain.
