Are aftermarket parts and modifications really needed to upgrade the performance of the Interceptor 350?
There’s a large and passionate community of owners who like to customize their bikes, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 350. The stock bike is still being debated as to whether the bike needs improvements or if it is best to enjoy it as is from the factory. Aftermarket exhausts, air filters and ECU tunes are some riders' go to for a performance boost, but others claim they compromise reliability and character. We discuss suspension upgrades, brake upgrades, and ergonomic changes such as seat and handlebar swaps. It’s hotly debated among Interceptor owners whether these modifications are necessary for enjoyment or are just fun extras.
Absolutely not! Out of the box, the Interceptor 350 is great. The stock setup was done well by Royal Enfield and messing with it just invites problems.
