Anyone who owns a Classic 500 in 2025, is it a nightmare to maintain?

If you own a discontinued model such as the Royal Enfield Classic 500 in 2025 it certainly does raise questions over service and parts availability. As the bike gets older and rarer, some are concerned about the work and expense required to keep it purring. Add to this the reputation of the Classic 500 requiring frequent maintenance. The bike's simplicity, owners debate, is either an advantage when it comes to working on it, or a detriment owing to the difficulty in locating specific parts. There are strong arguments that the big Royal Enfield community and after market support make maintenance manageable, while others are of the opinion that they are languished due to the fact that the company doesn't officially support them. The matter of whether riding or maintaining a Classic 500 is a labour of love or a never ending headache is a matter of constant debate amongst riders and potential buyers.

Not at all! It’s still easy to work on these bikes, and there’s still a huge community for them. Most parts are interchangeable with other RE models, plus.
