And how does it compare to modern retro styled bikes?

Given the recent popularity of retro styled motorcycles, many manufacturers are churning out bikes that look like classics such as the Royal Enfield Machismo 500. Many of these modern interpretations see improvements to the technology, reliability, and performance. But, they won’t have the real feel and character of a true vintage bike. What is the difference between the experience of riding an original Machismo 500 and these new retro inspired machines? Are the modern versions just better in every way possible, or does it provide a more 'real' connection to motorcycling's past? Think about how the controls feel, what the sound and vibration of the engine sounds like and feels like, and your overall riding experience. Does the Machismo offer something intangible, which is impossible to reproduce, or have modern bikes actually captured the spirit of classic motorcycling and improved on the formula?

There is nothing quite like a real Machismo. Modern retros attempt, but they can’t capture that raw, mechanical feel.
