2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO AX7T vs Kia Seltos GTX(O) DCT: which suits long-term family use?
XUV 7XO AX7T or Seltos GTX(O) DCT for a family?
These upper variants can overlap on budget, but they solve different needs. The XUV 7XO offers six- or seven-seat packaging and a torque-converter automatic; the Seltos is a five-seat turbo-DCT SUV with a smaller footprint. Current transaction prices and delivery times need written dealer quotes.
What to compare before booking
- Space: test third-row access, luggage with the usual passenger load, rear-seat comfort and parking.
- Powertrain: drive the exact XUV petrol or diesel automatic and the Seltos DCT in familiar traffic and on a highway.
- Ride and safety: compare visibility, ride with passengers, current variant equipment and official safety information.
- Support: request written warranty terms, service estimates, parts timelines and the local escalation route.
- Five-year value: compare the current quote, insurance, tyres, fuel, annual kilometres and holding period without assuming resale.
How many passengers and how much luggage do you carry most weeks? After a back-to-back test, which matters more: usable space, ride, cabin finish, transmission behaviour, dealer support or five-year cost?

about 14 hours agoCompared on daily use, the better value is the SUV that fits the normal passenger and parking routine without creating fatigue. Test both with the usual occupants, use the third row and boot as intended, and repeat familiar rough-road and tight-parking sections. Gadget count matters less if seat comfort, visibility or manoeuvrability becomes tiring.
