Should buyers wait for the Enyaq, or are there alternatives worth considering?
06 January 2025 10:23
Wait times are a deal breaker for me. It's poor planning on Skoda's part, and I worry about how they'll be able to support the car long term if they can't even get production right.
How do you rate on build quality and reliability compared in the Enyaq to other Skoda models?
06 January 2025 10:23
I would say the build quality on my Enyaq is very good. In 18 months of ownership, I haven’t had any rattles or issues and it feels more premium than my old Octavia. This one is nailed by Skoda.

I've had mixed experiences. It's well put together, I've had some electrical gremlins that required dealer visits. My old Superb is not as bulletproof as this.
How do you rate on build quality and reliability compared in the Enyaq to other Skoda models?

The Enyaq feels as well built as you’d come to expect from a VW. Skoda has done a great job of transitioning to EVs without losing quality, I think. It is most certainly up there with the more expensive brands.
How do you rate on build quality and reliability compared in the Enyaq to other Skoda models?

The build quality is good but I can’t say it’s reliable. I’m having issues with the steering assist, and keyless entry too. For a new car, it's spent more time at the dealer than I would like.
How do you rate on build quality and reliability compared in the Enyaq to other Skoda models?
06 January 2025 10:23
I think people are unrealistic. Skoda’s Enyaq is a first gen EV and therefore some teething problems expected. All in all I feel like it is solid and well made.
How do you rate on build quality and reliability compared in the Enyaq to other Skoda models?
06 January 2025 10:23
The Enyaq’s build quality is fine, it’s just the software reliability that’s the problem. Modern EVs are only half the story when it comes to physical build.
How do you rate on build quality and reliability compared in the Enyaq to other Skoda models?

As someone who's had a few Skodas in the past, the Enyaq feels like a move up in terms of the materials and assembly. It's not perfect but for the price point it's pretty impressive.
Is the practicality of the Enyaq worth that extra cost compared to ICE Skoda?
06 January 2025 10:23
The price definitely justifies the practicality of the Enyaq for me. It’s so much more usable than my old Kodiaq thanks to the huge boot, flat floor and clever storage solutions. I'm also saving a ton on fuel costs.
Is the practicality of the Enyaq worth that extra cost compared to ICE Skoda?
06 January 2025 10:23
I don't think it's worth that premium. It’s practical, yes, but so are other Skoda models. I’m hesitant because of the high purchase price and uncertainty of long term battery life.
Is the practicality of the Enyaq worth that extra cost compared to ICE Skoda?
06 January 2025 10:23
It's very practical, but the whole EV experience is what makes it worth it for me. Instant torque, silent operation and environmental benefits are valuable beyond the practical.
Is the practicality of the Enyaq worth that extra cost compared to ICE Skoda?
06 January 2025 10:23
It depends on how you’re going to use it, I think. However, if you do a lot of miles then the fuel savings can easily pay for the extra cost of purchase. It's harder to justify for low mileage users.
Is the practicality of the Enyaq worth that extra cost compared to ICE Skoda?
06 January 2025 10:23
It's expensive, but with government incentives and lower road tax, it compares favourably. If you do the math over 5 years of ownership, it sure ain't much more expensive than an ICE Skoda.
Is the practicality of the Enyaq worth that extra cost compared to ICE Skoda?
06 January 2025 10:23
I like the practicality but I don’t know it’s 10k better than a Kodiaq. Too much tech is nice, but you can get most of that in high spec ICE models already.
Is the practicality of the Enyaq worth that extra cost compared to ICE Skoda?
06 January 2025 10:23
For me, who needs to have bulky equipment, the Enyaq is a game changer. All in all, the price premium is worth it, in my opinion, just for the versatility.
Is the practicality of the Enyaq worth that extra cost compared to ICE Skoda?
06 January 2025 10:23
It’s hard to swallow, but I see it as an investment in future proof technology. As emissions regulations on the horizon become increasingly strict, ICE cars will only go from practical to impractical.
Is Skoda Enyaq's software bad as people claim?
06 January 2025 10:23
The software is terrible, yeah. I’ve been with my Enyaq for a year now and it’s been nothing but frustration with a laggy interface, random glitches, etc. It's also ridiculous that you have to click 'OK' every time you start the car.
Is Skoda Enyaq's software bad as people claim?
06 January 2025 10:23
It’s not great, but it’s not as bad as people say it is. I've had mine for six months, it has its hiccups but is generally usable. The things are definitely better than the latest updates.
Is Skoda Enyaq's software bad as people claim?
06 January 2025 10:23
It depends, I think, on what you’re comparing it to. If you’re coming from a Tesla or a high end smartphone, then yes, it will feel clunky. It's not that far behind other traditional automakers, however.
Is Skoda Enyaq's software bad as people claim?
06 January 2025 10:23
Definitely the Enyaq's weak point is the software. The rest of the car is so good that it's frustrating. The build quality is great, and I like the comfort, but the infotainment system is straight from 5 years ago.
