Is the Flying Flea C6 a homage to its WWII predecessor in name only, or does it pay homage to that model in spirit as well?

I'd say it's a bit of both. The design is clearly inspired by the original, but let's be real - an electric bike in 2025 is never going to be a 1:1940s military bike 1 recreation. I believe they've done a nice job of staying true to the spirit while making it applicable to today's riders.

It’s all a marketing gimmick. The original Flying Flea was a utilitarian, rugged one. It's all sleek lines and modern tech this new one. It’s just a name they’re using to get attention. If they were really honouring the original, they'd make something truer to its roots.

I actually like this as a way of connecting RE's heritage to the future of electric mobility. Granted, it isn’t an exact replica, but it supports the spirit of innovation. The original Flying Flea was a cutting edge design for its time and this new one is doing the same.

I'm a history buff so I know what they're going for, but I don't know if it quite gets across the feel of the original. The Flying Flea was designed with practicality and durability in mind, in extreme conditions. It seems like a new one which is more about style. The bike is cool, but I think they should have named it something else.

Long RE fan that I am, I'm actually excited about the Flying Flea C6. The brand isn't afraid to innovate, but it does stick with a few retro touches. I don't know if that's for everyone, but I think it will draw a new generation of riders to the brand.

No way. There’s nothing traditional RE fans love more than the classic look, and the thumping engine sound. A lot of die hard fans are going to be alienated by this electric thing with its weird frame. They’re like they’re trying to be something they aren’t.

I think it'll be a mixed bag. Traditionalists will hate it, but RE is trying something new and some will like that. I personally love that they are pushing boundaries but still giving nods to their heritage. They might just pull it off, it's a tough balance.

I own both classic and modern bikes, so I am intrigued. It’s definitely different not necessarily bad. RE has to evolve to remain relevant and this could be a smart way to bridge the gap between old and new.

I'm skeptical. The Flying Flea C6 is just cool but is so far removed from what RE is known for. I’m afraid they’ll lose their identity trying to chase trends. All that being said, if it rides well and has that RE quality, it may win people over.
