I think it depends on trends. It’s doing well, right now blacked out bikes are popular. That may change a few years from now.

It doesn't seem to make much difference either way in terms of value too. If people want it, they will pay for it, others will pass. It's pretty neutral.

It seems the resale value is fine, but there are fewer buyers to buy. You have to find somebody that’s looking for that style.

When I sold mine, I actually got a bit more. The trick is to keep it in good shape. The bonus, of course, is the unique look if you keep it in good condition.

You can definitely see it at night. I also stuck some reflective tape on the sides and back, which helps a lot. It kinda feels cool though, like you're in the shadows.

I honestly don’t notice much difference. Visibility isn't really affected, since the headlight and taillight are the same as other models. Under streetlights though it looks sick!

At night I feel less visible on the Stealth Black. Was started wearing high vis vest for extra safety. Low light is cool, but a little bit scary, the bike almost disappears.

This thing is awesome for night riding. When light hits the black, it absorbs the light instead of reflecting it, which reduces glare from oncoming headlights. Make sure that your lights work well.

It's a mixed bag. On dark roads it can be a bit too stealthy, but the bike looks incredible in city lights. For safety and style I added some extra LED lights.

In my experience no real difference. The colors don't matter much because modern lights are bright enough. Pulled up to the night meetup though, it does look badass.

And I feel more visible at night, actually. It seems that the black bike and my riding gear contrasts more than anything else. It’s also just cooler riding a blacked out bike after dark.

Totally worth it! A little extra care is no big deal, and the Stealth Black looks badass. All you need is a microfiber cloth with some matte polish.

Nah, it's a pain. I like the look but I get tired of having to constantly wipe it down after a few months. They are much easier to maintain than regular colors.

It depends on your lifestyle. If you don’t mind spending more time on cleaning and being cautious, then go for it. If you're looking for a low maintenance ride, however, maybe choose another color.

People make it out to be worse than it actually is for maintenance. And just don't use harsh chemicals and give it a quick wipe after riding. It’s worth the minimal extra effort for the look.

If you're a perfectionist, stay away from it. If you can live with a little dust and character, the Stealth Black is great. Expectations are all it is.
