Deal-breaker for me. After a few months I couldn't handle it. On longer rides my hands would go numb. It just isn't practical for daily use.

It's an acquired taste. I hated it at first but now I miss the rumble of other bikes. The Electra is alive under you.

It's too much vibration; it's a sign of poor engineering. There is no reason for a modern bike to shake you to pieces. RE needs to fix this.

I think it depends on how you use the bike. The vibrations give it character for weekend cruising. They’re a pain for commuting.

It's definitely limiting. On expressways, you feel underpowered and it is nerve wracking when trucks are passing you.

I’ve toured extensively on my Electra. You learn to ride your way and travel in a different manner. It's more immersive.

The top speed itself is fine, it's the fight to keep it there that's the problem. Headwinds and long climbs can make you go very slow.

It is okay for solo touring. On long stretches you'll be wishing for more power with a pillion and luggage.

I upgraded the sprockets on mine and it now cruises happily at 100 kph. It makes a world of difference touring.
