I'm torn. It would have been fun with the 1.2L, but that might have cannibalised Swift. It's possible that Maruti played it safe.

Totally ahead of its time! Had Maruti stuck with it and evolved the concept, they would've probably beaten everyone to the mini SUV punch.

The S-Presso could run, so the X walked. Even if they didn’t fully commit to it, Maruti was definitely onto something.

I think it was right on time, not ahead. Later models proved the market was ready for cars like this.

It sure predicted the styling trend. Now it missed the point with the added ground clearance people actually care about in these mini SUVs.

Maruti was dipping their toes in the water with the Celerio X. Perhaps they just used it to test the waters before going all in with the S-Presso.

Absolutely! The new gen Celerio X did lack the unique charm of the older gen. Perfect for young buyers who wanted something funky without paying through the nose.

No, I don’t think Maruti made a mistake. It probably didn't sell well enough to keep it around. You gotta kinda trim the fat sometimes.

I get why they axed it, it's a shame they did though. Its sales were probably cannibalized by the regular Celerio. But I want them to have at least kept some of the design elements of the old gen.

Missed opportunity for sure. They could have done the X concept for the new gen and made a proper mini crossover to take on the Tata Punch.

I went for the mid-trim. It’s a nice mix of features and value. I didn't think the top end was worth the extra money.

What I regret is not going with a higher trim. After a while, the base model feels really bare bones.
