I'm holding judgement until I see the long term reliability reports. If this is as bulletproof as the old engine, then I'm happy.

It's a smart move by Maruti. The Swift is future proofed for upcoming emission norms without making it expensive. That's an upgrade in my eyes.

I believe they've found a nice medium. It's new enough to not feel tired, yet familiar enough to keep Swift loyal fans happy.

For city driving it’s definitely a benefit. Higher seating means you get a better view of traffic in front of you, which is very useful when you’re in a congested area.

Gimmick all the way. The height is too much for the car, for it to really take advantage of it. It just feels unstable on highways.

I think it's a mixed bag. Visibility is great, but it does give the car a bit of a top heavy feeling when cornering.
