In fact, I actually prefer the Ritz’s handling to some lower hatchbacks. I feel more confident at the higher seating position.

It's not a driver's car in any way, but it does the job as a daily. Hot hatch performance is not what you can expect, though.

At high speeds it feels twitchy because of its short wheelbase. For long highway drives, I’d pick i20 any day.

I think it was a mistake. The Ritz was loyal and could have easily been updated to compete with other hotels.

Nah, it was the right call. There was a demand in the market for a bit more premium looking hatchbacks, with Ritz looking somewhat dated.

They should have kept it and give it a major facelift. It could have taken on the i20 and Jazz.

Discontinuing it made sense. Maruti had too many models overlapping, and something had to go.

I miss the Ritz. It was unique and practical. Everything in that segment now looks the same.

It was a smart business move. In that price range, the Baleno probably makes them more money.

They could have marketed it as a cheaper alternative to the Baleno. Missed opportunity there.

There’s no doubt that newer cars are more fuel efficient. My old Ritz is consistently outdone by my friend’s Baleno.

But I think the diesel version holds up pretty well. Nevertheless, it’s still more efficient than some newer compact SUVs.

Over the years Mine's efficiency definitely dropped. With age, I guess you'd expect that, but it's not bad.

My Ritz feels a bit thirsty compared to my neighbor's new WagonR. It’s also more fun to drive, but I’m okay with that trade off.
