Is the Kia EV9 worth the money compared to gas cars?
03 January 2025 12:06
At first I was skeptical, but after owning one for a few months I think it is every penny worth. I can’t say enough about how much better the driving experience is than any gas car I’ve owned, and how game changing it is to charge at home.
How does the build of Kia EV9 compare to luxury brand?
03 January 2025 12:06
The build quality impressed me for real. And feels solid, well put together, easily up to par with my old Audi. The interior is very well done with a real attention to detail and the materials are high quality.
How does the build of Kia EV9 compare to luxury brand?

But it’s good, not quite top tier luxury brand level yet. Still, in a BMW or Mercedes, there are some hard plastics where you’d expect softer materials.
How does the build of Kia EV9 compare to luxury brand?
03 January 2025 12:06
I really think Kia has done an amazing job. I feel like the EV9 is more premium than some of the 'luxury' brands I've owned. Quiet, solid and the fit and finish is excellent. Kia are really stepping up.
How does the build of Kia EV9 compare to luxury brand?
03 January 2025 12:06
It's a mixed bag. And in some cases — like the seats and the design overall — it feels very premium. Then again, you recognize little things like the way some of the buttons feel or the sound the doors make when they close and it's not at the level of other, established luxury brands.
How does the build of Kia EV9 compare to luxury brand?
03 January 2025 12:06
The build quality for the price is amazing. Is it the same, exactly, as a $100k+ luxury SUV? No. It's not quite there yet but damn close and I don't think most people would be able to tell the difference while using it daily.
Is the Kia EV9 as good as other EVs?
03 January 2025 12:06
My EV9 has been rock solid so far. No issues whatsoever. I think a lot of the reliability concerns are overblown, probably from those who are skeptical of EVs in general.
Is the Kia EV9 as good as other EVs?
03 January 2025 12:06
I’ve had my EV9 for 6 months now and I love it but I’ve already had to take it to the dealer twice for software issues. It's not a deal breaker, but it's a lot more problems than I thought I'd have in a brand new car.
Is the Kia EV9 as good as other EVs?
03 January 2025 12:06
Kia has been pretty good about taking care of problems when they come up and it's too early to tell about long term reliability. The 12V battery problem was worrying, but it looks like they've fixed it with a software update.
Is the Kia EV9 as good as other EVs?
03 January 2025 12:06
The EV9 feels more solidly built than my previous Tesla. The software is definitely less reliable, though. It's a bit of a mixed bag right now, I think it'll improve over time.
Is the Kia EV9 as good as other EVs?
03 January 2025 12:06
It's a new model and I was worried about reliability, but so far so good. It feels really well put together, and no issues at all. I think Kia's put some serious work into this one.
Is the software and infotainment system on the Kia EV9 a deal breaker?
03 January 2025 12:06
The software honestly isn't that great, but I can live with that. But it's the other features of the car that more than make up for it. Also, I hope Kia will do it better with updates.
Is the software and infotainment system on the Kia EV9 a deal breaker?
03 January 2025 12:06
As an EV owner coming from a Tesla, the EV9’s infotainment system feels like a huge step back. It's frustratingly slow, it's buggy. Everything else about the car I love, but the tech, that's definitely the Achilles' heel.
Is the software and infotainment system on the Kia EV9 a deal breaker?
03 January 2025 12:06
People are being too harsh, I think. It may not be as slick as Tesla's system, but it works. Let’s face it, how much time do you spend messing with the infotainment while driving?
Is the software and infotainment system on the Kia EV9 a deal breaker?
03 January 2025 12:06
Definitely concerning at this price point, the software. If Kia wants to play in the premium EV market, they need to step up their game. Laggy touchscreens are a thing of the past, it's 2025.
Is the software and infotainment system on the Kia EV9 a deal breaker?
03 January 2025 12:06
In fact, I prefer Kia's system to some overly complicated setups that I've seen in other luxury cars. It's easy and has everything I need. Or maybe I’m just not as picky as some people.
Does the Kia EV9's third row actually work for adults?
03 January 2025 12:06
It is roomy in the third row! I'm 6' tall and can sit back there comfortably for a couple of hours. It’s not luxury seating, but it’s useable for adults.
Does the Kia EV9's third row actually work for adults?
03 January 2025 12:06
The third row is fine for short trips, but I wouldn’t want to be sitting back there on a long road trip. Compared to most SUVs, it's more spacious, but the second row is still not as comfortable as the second row.
Does the Kia EV9's third row actually work for adults?
03 January 2025 12:06
We use the third row regularly as a family of 6. Our teenagers love sitting back there, and even my adult brother doesn't complain when he sits back there. The space was done very well by Kia.
Does the Kia EV9's third row actually work for adults?
03 January 2025 12:06
I wouldn't go so far as to call it 'adult friendly'. Sure, it's better than most, but adults over 5'10' will still feel cramped. But it's great for kids and teens.
