When will the kawasaki Vulcan S launch in India?

Kawasaki has not yet announced a launch date for its cruiser Vulcan S in India. If launched soon, it would be the first cruiser motorcycle from Kawasaki, directly competing with Hyosung ST7 and Harley Davidson Street 750. The Vulcan S will be using the same engine as ER-6N, Ninja 650 and Versys 650 but carrying a different state of tune. It produces 61 BHP and 63 Nm of torque. Vulcan S comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It will be getting an estimated price tag of INR 6,00,000.

Kawasaki Estrella 250 carries a traditional design while it even lacks the punch from its 249 cc, air cooled and fuel injected engine. It actually symbolizes the rich heritage of the brand and resembles the bikes being produced few decades back. Its engine is good for 17.75 BHP and 18 Nm of torque. It weighs 161 kg, making it a slow performer when compared to modern day quarter liter bikes. It does not have auto gear down feature.

The expected price for Kawasaki Z125 is Rs. 1.30-1.35 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It will be powered by a 125cc single cylinder engine with maximum power of 9.4 Bhp.
The mini motors are much popular in US and South East Asian countries. The main rival for Kawaski Z125 would be Honda Grom 125 of course outside India. The Kawasaki Z125 is expected to be released in Candy Lime Green, Metalic Graphite Gray, Candy Burnt Orange color shades.

The front brake is a single 290 mm petal disc, single balanced actuation dual-piston caliper, while the rear brake is a single 220 mm petal disc, dual-piston caliper. The bike's quite agile, easy to maneuver, and can pulsate you with excitement. The only downside is the absence of ABS in India.

The bike is powered by a 249cc, Single Cylinder, 4-Stroke, Air-Cooled producing a power of 17.75 BHP @ 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 18 NM @ 5500 rpm. It is mated to to a five speed gearbox. If Kawasaki launches this motorcycle in India, it will give a tough challenge to Royal Enfield Classic 350. Price is expected bewteen 1.50 – 1.75 lacs.

Kawasaki RR Mono has no chances of launch in India currently. Kawasaki is planning for the local assembly of it's bigger super bikes for an upcoming tough competition where every manufacturer is planning to low down the initial costs of superbikes and appeal a wider audience with the existing products. Kawasaki plans to dominate the above liter class bikes and side by side play safe in the lightweight sport section with more than 1 cylinder. RR Mono could have been a R15 killer but it's too late for the bike to enter the Indian market.

Launch date details of the followings bikes are:
1-Hyosung GD250R: The GD250R is a full faired 250cc bike producing 28 bhp and 24 NM torque. No news regarding the bike's launch is out yet. However, some sources say it could be launched this year, or early next year.
2-Kawasaki Ninja 250SL: The Ninja 250SL is expected to be priced around INR 2 lacs. However, Kawasaki hasn't said anything about its launch date.
3-Honda CBR 250R(2016): Honda has no plans to launch the 2016 CBR 250R in India. It is focusing on bigger bikes.
4-KTM RC 250: The RC250 is a great bike, and can fill in the gap between the RC200 and the RC390, however the chances of the RC250 to launch in India are very low. We don't expect the bike to come out anytime soon.

The Kawasaki KLX 125 is expected to launch in India with a price tag of above INR 1,00,000. The 112 cc, 1-cylinder engine of the bike produces 7.2 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 8 NM @ 4,000 rpm. It gets a kerb weight of just 76 kg and brings excellent performance through its lightweight and strong underpinnings. It gets a seat height of 680 mm, making it good for small children who are interested in learning the art of dirt racing. Kawasaki is planning to be the first in class to bring such an offering to India. Even with such low seat height, the ground clearance of the KLX 110 is 215 mm.

Kawasaki Z250 SL is not available in India, when launched it is expected to be available in 2 variants – non-ABS and with ABS. Kawasaki Z250 is not equipped with ABS and as of now Kawasaki has no plans to launch the Z300 in India. The next big launches from Kawasaki India are Ninja ZX-6R, Vulcan S and Z250SL.

The currently available Z250 is not available with ABS whereas both the expected models(Z250 SL and Z300) would come in non ABS and ABS versions. The 250 cc twin cylinder motorcycle will be discontinued with the launch of other two bikes, which will compete against single cylinder 250 cc and twin cylinder 300 cc street bikes. ABS would be mandatory on these machines in less than 2 years and most of the manufacturers will get ABS installed on their latest additions to the market. The 250 cc Z250 SL will cost around INR 1,95,000 whereas the twin cylinder Z300 will be for INR 3,25,000. Both the bikes carry an aggressive stance with a typical Kawasaki feel to them.


Is Kawasaki Ninja 300 better than KTM RC 390?

The KTM RC390 is a much better option than Kawasaki Ninja 300. It gets a 373.2 cc, 1-cylinder, liquid cooled and fuel injected motor, producing 43 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 35 NM @ 7,000 rpm. The gearbox on the motorcycle is a 6-speed unit with slipper clutch. It gets more power and torque when compared to the Ninja 300, making it better in terms of performance. When it comes to braking, the KTM again wins with its ABS enabled front and rear disc brakes. It can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 5.70 seconds and returns a fuel efficiency of 30 kmpl. It gets a small fuel tank measuring 9.5 liter only and retails for INR 2,14,000 which is also nearly INR 1.5 lakh lower than the price of Ninja 300.
