When will Hyundai launch 2015 Verna in India?

Company is planning to launch this 5-seater sedan on February 18, 2015. Powered by 1582 cc, 1.6L DOHC CRDi VGT, 16 Valves diesel engine which produces a maximum power of 126 Bhp @ 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 265 Nm @ 1900 rpm. This engine is mated to 6-speed manual gearbox. The 2015 model will be powered by the same old petrol as well as diesel engines which are 1.4L and 1.6 L.

Hyundai hasn't released the images of India specific model yet. It was launched in Chinese market, so the steering is on left side there.

Yes, Hyundai ix25 will soon be available with 1.6 litre diesel engine which will also be seen doing duty in 2015 Verna. While, there is no information regarding the automatic version. The expected price of Hyundai ix25 Diesel will be INR 8,50,000. It will produce 126Bhp of maximum power at 4000 rpm and 259.87 Nm of torque at 1900 rpm. It will come with 4 airbags and rear seat belts.

Which one should I buy - Honda City or Hyundai Verna?

Dear Rakesh, I too was in the same fix ,which to go for ..Verna or City. Finally I zeroed in for VERNA. I own a VERNA 1.6 SX (Petrol) on 29th July, 2014. Its the best in class with loads of safety features.Also one more thing to notice is that u need to pay more (at least 1 lac) to get all those features in city. Also the wheel base of City is less then verna and Ground Clearance of City is lower then Verna in speed breakers it sometimes touches the ground. However in Verna there are no such kind of issues. I had travelled around 8000 KMS in bumpy as well as on highways but till date I have not faced even a single issue. Class apart.

The top variant of petrol version is priced at INR 5.47 lakhs and top diesel variant is available for INR 6.41 lakhs. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi. The variants of 5-seater hatchback are Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). In total, it is available in 12 variants - five of diesel and seven of petrol.
