How does the Pulsar P150 Double Disc’s build quality compare to previous Pulsar models?

The P150 Double Disc definitely seems to be a step up in quality. Overall, the fit and finish looks improved as does the switchgear, which is more tactile. It’s nothing premium of course, but better than before.

I’ve had my P150 for six months now and I am disappointed. The fuel tank paint is already wearing. It seems to be the same old Bajaj quality issues.

It's a mixed bag. The seat and the headlight unit feel more premium. Still, some plastic side panels seem cheap.

I have owned three Pulsars and the P150 is the best built so far. It's not perfect but it's a good leap forward from older gen.

The build quality is decent enough but it still lags behind competitor like Honda Unicorn. If they are going to be in the business of quality, Bajaj needs to take it up a gear.

I believe people are too harsh on Bajaj. For the price point, the P150 is built well. With this price range you can’t anticipate obtaining the premium quality.

The single disc feels a bit more premium than the double disc variant. Overall its more solid feel added weight seems to give it.

I did a 1000km trip on my P150 Double Disc which was a blast. Of course it’s not as comfortable as with a bigger bike, but it is capable of touring.

No way, man. It's too underpowered for highways. If you are loaded with luggage and you are not used to driving in Tokyo, you will be struggling to keep up with traffic. This one is best kept to city rides.

It's all about expectations. The P150 can make a suitable touring companion if you don’t mind taking it slow and often stopping for a break. Also, the fuel efficiency is a big plus on long trips.

I think it’s a good weekend getaway vehicle, but not an ideal cross country tourer. Lack of wind protection and limited power can become quite tiring over long distances.

Touring is actually good with the double disc setup. This gives consistent braking performance regardless of whether you are fully loaded or not. It gives you an extra confidence on unknown roads.

I have toured on smaller bikes and the P150 is good enough for Indian conditions. This bike can handle most of our highways without needing more than 100 km/h.

For budget touring it works, but you will want aftermarket accessories like a windshield and some better cushions on the seat to make it more tour friendly.

I’ve ridden the P150, the Unicorn and the Pulsar and I have to say that the Pulsar feels a lot more responsive. It has a slight edge in weight distribution from the double disc setup.

Honestly, I think there’s not much difference in handling between these bikes. This all boils down to personal preference and what you are used to riding.

The P150’s one thing that I love is how it handles bumpy roads. Its suspension soaks up imperfections better than most of its competitors.

I went from an FZ to the P150 and the Pulsar is good, but I do miss the lightness of the Yamaha in city traffic. In tight spaces the P150 feels a bit heavier.

The P150 Double Disc is actually quite surprising for a budget bike. While it's not quite track focused, nor an outrageous number, it’s pretty much perfect for everyday use.

The P150 Double Disc is a worthy successor. The Pulsar retains the sporty DNA but with a little more modernity. That is precisely how the Pulsar should evolve.
