I have ridden both the faired and non faired Discover 150 and frankly the fairing does make a difference on highway rides. On long trips, less wind blast equates to less fatigue.

Let’s be real, it’s mostly for looks. With the fairing being too small, there's no wind protection to offer. Nothing, just Bajaj trying to make a commuter bike look sportier.

If you're someone who upgraded from Discover 125 to 150F, then fairing makes the ride at higher speeds much more comfortable. If you do a lot of highway riding, it’s not a gimmick.

I took the fairing off my 150F out of curiosity, and did notice more wind blast, particularly around the chest. It may be subtle, but it definitely has its purpose.

I have had a Discover 150F for 2 years and I am getting a steady 65 kmpl in city riding. So this is not the 72 kmpl that Bajaj claimed, but it is still pretty impressive for a 150 cc bike.

Mileage king? No way! My Discover 150F gives way worse mileage than my friend's Honda CB Unicorn. I get 55 kmpl barely in city traffic.

You can't just be comparing raw numbers, guys. The Discover 150F offers a good balance of performance and mileage. Considering the power output, I’m getting 60 – 62 kmpl which is great.

I just don’t think the “king of mileage” title is anything more than marketing hype. Yes, it's fuel efficient but so are many other bikes in this segment. The Discover 150F is pretty good overall, and that’s what matters.

Mileage, in my experience, is very dependent on how you ride. I’ve managed to squeeze 68 kmpl on highway runs, with a light hand on the throttle. It's all about riding technique!

Fact is, a 150cc bike won’t give you the mileage of a 100cc commuter. The Discover 150F does a good job finding a balance between performance and efficiency, but it’s not the 'king.'

Regular maintenance definitely makes a big difference! Upon a proper tune up, I could get mileage of 55 to 63 kmpl on my Discover 150F. Take care of it and it will treat you well!

Bajaj Discover 150F is a better bike when compared to the Discover 125. The former comes with a bigger 144.8 cc engine producing 14.5 PS and 12.75 Nm of torque. The values are very nice for a bike starting with a price tag of INR 58,000. The motorcycle carries a semi-faired design which enhances its overall looks while the design used by Discover 125 is nearly decade old. It just benefits on the mileage part but that too is minimal if both are riding on highway speeds. Discover 125 looks modern and even uses a semi digital instrument console.

The Discover 150F is decent bike but it will soon be discontinued and it's value will fall within few days. You should go for Bajaj V15 instead as it comes with the same price tag of INR 62,000 while carrying a lot of character with it's design. The engine is the same as Discover 150F and the 149.5 cc is good for 11.83 BHP and 13 Nm of torque. It also uses a 5-speed gearbox and claims a top speed of 110 kmph. The fuel tank is good for 13 liters and the bike is said to return a 50 kmpl mileage in everyday riding conditions.
