How does the CT 150X fare with pillion riders in its class?

It’s surprisingly good with a pillion. The wide rear tyre gives it stability, and the seat is long enough to accommodate two people comfortably.

But in my experience, the CT 150X comes very close to what Bajaj claims. I get 55 - 60 kmpl in city traffic, which is quite good for a 150cc bike.

Bajaj's comments are a bit optimistic, I believe. On average I get about 50 kmpl which is good but not that great as they make it sound. But it’s better than my old 125cc bike.

How you ride really depends on that. I can get 65 kmpl when I am gentle with the throttle. Yet, if you ride it hard, it will drop to the mid 40s.

That's actually what I'm disappointed in, the fuel efficiency. In heavy city traffic I barely get 45 kmpl. Honda SP 125 does much better than my friend's Honda.

It's pretty good for a 150cc bike, I think. I get 55 kmpl on average, which is enough to make me happy with my purchase.

It’s decent mileage, not great mileage. I am more impressed with how consistent it is regardless of load. The drop in efficiency is minimal even with a pillion.

After the first few thousand kilometers the fuel efficiency seems to improve. I used to get around 50 kmpl initially and now it is around 60 kmpl.

Absolutely! My first bike was the CT 110X, it's just perfect for learning. Easy to handle, light clutch, forgiving if you make mistakes.

Not bad but I’d say get something with a little more power like the Pulsar 125. Once you get used to it, though, it might feel underpowered.

A good starter, but missing features like a tachometer mean you may not learn the proper gear shifting techniques.

Perfect for beginners. Lightweight, cheap to maintain, and low seat height. Learning is no longer a worry of damaging an expensive bike.

I’d say it’s perfect for absolute beginners, but if you already have some experience then you may want to start with something a little more powerful.

To save your money for a bigger bike. The CT 110X is a great basic commuter, but no amount of mods will ever make it a performance machine.

It depends on what you want. If you like the bike's basic performance and just want to add something to it, then go for it. If you’re looking for more power, save up for an upgrade.
