Discussions and Questions - Aston Martin Valkyrie Aston Martin Valkyrie

Does the Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH’s road car heritage provide it with an advantage or disadvantage in WEC competition?
03 February 2025 11:05
It's definitely an advantage. They have already done tons of development on the road car. That’s a head start on aero and chassis design.
How can the naturally aspirated V12 of the Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH keep up with turbocharged rivals?
03 February 2025 11:05
I'm skeptical. LMH power limits prevent them from exploiting the V12's high rev potential to the maximum. They seem to be handicapping themselves with no real reason.
What impact will the Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH’s unique cockpit design have on driver comfort and performance?
03 February 2025 11:05
They are probably wise enough to have thought of that. Maybe they’ve got some clever solution to quick driver swaps that we haven’t seen yet.
Can the Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH’s extreme aero design make it on race day?
03 February 2025 11:05
I'm optimistic. Red Bull Advanced Technologies are working with Aston. They would be the people that could get extreme aero to work within the rules.
Is the Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH’s lack of a hybrid system a bold move or a fatal flaw?
03 February 2025 11:05
This is a bold move that might work. Fewer things mean less complexity and there are fewer things to go wrong during a 24 hour race. And without hybrid interference, that V12 sound will be glorious.
Will Valkyrie owners be driving their cars, or will they be purely holding them as investments?
03 February 2025 07:55
I feel that it doesn’t make it more enjoyable. The McLaren 720S or Porsche 918 provide truly incredible performance but they can also be driven perfectly comfortably on the road. Versatility adds to the experience.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie may be too extreme for road use.
03 February 2025 07:55
Absolutely. The Valkyrie is just too extreme for the road. Think of it as a race car with number plates. The harsh ride alone would be unbearable for more than a few minutes, and not to mention the lack of visibility and the noise would be intolerable for more than that. It’s a road car masquerading as a track toy.
