Outdated, in the sense that it will not be viable much longer, due to emissions regulations. Car like this won’t be around forever, so enjoy it while it lasts.

The Valkyrie is not meant to be practical or efficient. This is an engineering exercise and the swan song for naturally aspirated engines. In the context of that, the V12 makes sense.

I think going full electric is a mistake. Electric hypercars can be extremely exciting, according to Rimac. Aston is holding on to the past.

It is outdated only if you think electric is the future. At least for now, I think there’s room for both technologies. But the Valkyrie proves that ICE has development potential.

It's gone more towards sports car than GT. Backroads are great, but it can be tiring on long stretches of highway. After a few hours the exhaust drone gets old.

I have done several 500+ mile trips in mine. It’s not uncomfortable, but firm, sure. They are great seats for long drives.

Depends on your definition of GT. A DB11 is not as plush, but it is more engaging. It keeps me alert and entertained so I prefer it for long trips.

Grand touring is an issue for the noise. Great if you want it, but you won’t be able to fully turn it down on the highway. Packing light is also a must.

Long trips are more comfortable than in my old 911. The ride is well damped and firm and the engine is less stressed at highway speeds.

The compromise is good. Not as comfortable as a Bentley, not as sharp as a GT3. It does both roles well enough to be a great only car though.

Daily driving? No way. In other words, these cars are designed to be driven on weekends and special occasions. Just the costs of maintaining it make daily use impractical.

I have mine as a daily in good weather. There are no major problems, but it is something you need to be prepared for because your running costs are going to be higher than a normal car.

It’s more reliable than old Astons, but far from a bulletproof Porsche. The proper maintenance of a car is not a problem if you can also afford the car itself.

The key is to find a good independent mechanic. It’s insane on dealer costs but with the right support, it’s a perfectly reasonable daily driver.

The Vantage’s weak point is definitely that. It feels outdated to a 911 or even a Corvette. However, I didn’t purchase it for the touchscreen.

The new system is a big improvement, but not class leading. The CarPlay integration is a big help though.

That’s the car for this type of infotainment? Who cares? If you’re concerned about touchscreens then you’re missing the point of an Aston.
