Why not? For a true enthusiast, driving an Atom every day would be a dream. Keep one car as a beater car for bad weather.

I have a friend who drives his Atom everyday in California. If you are in the right climate and don’t need to haul much, it’s doable.

I could use it as a second car for nice days but I don’t want it to be my only car. You will get tired of the noise quickly, and the discomfort.

I would be too concerned with rock chips and wear and tear. Maintaining or repairing these things is not cheap.

It's possible, but not practical. It would take a lot to be really committed to the idea and willing to make a lot of sacrifices.

It could be an amazing daily for a young, single person with a good job with a short commute. However, it clearly isn’t for the faint of heart.

I would be more worried about the safety than anything else. Rear ending an Atom would be terrifying.

Absolutely worth it. That driving experience is like nothing on the road. Essentially, it is a street-legal go kart on steroids.

Not for me. Instead of spending that money on something so frivolous, i’d rather buy something more practical, such as a sports car that I can actually use everyday.

That depends. If you don’t want just some type of track toy and can afford it, go for it. For most people, however, it’s overkill.

Yeah, I tried the driving of one, it’s a great laugh but the money is restricting. In other words, you can get similar thrills from much cheaper options.

For track use, absolutely. The Atom has nothing on its power-to-weight ratio and raw feel. This is a bargain compared to some supercars.

At that price, it's pricey, but first off, just look at what kind of price you're paying to get supercar performance from a sports car. In other words, it actually is good value in that context.

I once saw an Atom 3 with a turbocharged Hayabusa engine swap. It was mental, absolutely mental, sounded like a fighter jet and probably had the power to weight ratio of one as well!
