It's a mixed bag. It’s got great performance, but the stiff suspension can be uncomfortable on bad roads. It’s also a headache to find spare parts. It depends on whether you think it’s a pro or a con.

If you ride, then I can tell you as an SR 160 owner that it is totally worth it. It is addictive the way it handles corners and accelerates. However, you should expect to pay higher maintenance costs.

Not worth it for most people. Yamaha Aerox 155 offers same performance at lower price with better reliability. The Aprilia is about more of a brand image than substance.

If you like the finer things, it's worth it. It's top notch in fit and finish and feels special every time you ride it. If you just need A to B transport, look elsewhere.

I'd say it's 70% worth it. It has great performance and looks, but comes without features like Bluetooth connectivity and turn by turn navigation at this price point.

Only if you live in a big city with good roads, is it worth it. In urban environments the SR 160 Carbon shines, but for small towns or rural areas with bad infrastructure it is overkill.

No comparison. The R15 will smoke the SR 160 in performance, a proper bike. If you really need the convenience of a scooter, get the Aprilia.

Surprisingly, the SR 160 performs quite close to real world. It's quicker off the line than most 150 to 160 cc bikes and can hang in the twisties.

Bikes are more fun, period. The SR 160 is sporty for a scooter, but it's no match for the engagement of a proper manual transmission and bigger wheels.

In fact, the SR 160 is better for city use. Less traffic to filter through and no gear changes to worry about. Bikes pull ahead only on highways.

I went from the Apache to the SR 160 and I don't regret it. It's almost as fast, but so much easier to use every day. Best of both worlds.

The CVT makes the SR 160 feel faster than it is. On paper bikes might be quicker, but the Aprilia's instant acceleration just feels more exciting.

Not great but not terrible either. I get about 35–40 kmpl in the city with mixed riding. 45-50 kmpl is better on highway mileage.

The SR 160's weak point is fuel efficiency. It's thirsty if you ride it hard. If you drive constantly in traffic then expect 30–35 kmpl.

For its performance, it's actually pretty decent. Overall I average about 40–45 kmpl, not too far off from what slower 125cc scooters are getting.

Mileage is ok but small tank is annoying. While the km/l figure might be the same, you’ll be filling up more often than with other scooters.

It's all about how you ride. I can get 50+ kmpl being gentle with the throttle. Then, what’s the point of buying a performance scooter?

Premium fuel costs add up, but mileage is okay. If you’re comparing running costs with regular scooters that use normal petrol, factor that in.

However, it is acceptable fuel efficiency for a daily commuter. If that is your primary concern, however, there are much more frugal options.
