Volvo has officially ceased production of diesel engines, including the D4 diesel engine found in the Volvo S80. This move is part of the companys shift towards electric and hybrid vehicles. The Torslanda plant, where these engines were produced, is now being adapted for battery production in collaboration with Northvolt.
