Toyota has discontinued the Etios range in India, including the Etios VX, as it did not meet the BS6 emission norms. This decision was made to comply with the new environmental regulations. I believe this move is a step towards a more sustainable automotive industry, even though its sad to see the Etios go.

The Toyota Etios Liva, which includes the VX variant, saw a 10% increase in sales during the April-September 2018 period, thanks to the introduction of the Dual Tone Etios Liva Limited Edition. This edition came with a white and black two-tone paint job and red accents. I believe this limited edition was a smart move to boost sales.

Toyota introduced a new Inferno Orange shade for the Etios Liva dual tone variant, available in both petrol and diesel trim options. The prices ranged from Rs 5.85 lakh to Rs 7.44 lakh. I think this new color option added a fresh and vibrant look to the Etios Liva.

Toyota launched the Etios Platinum Limited Edition in India, which included the VX trim. This edition featured a new color scheme, dual-tone upholstery, and additional infotainment features. The petrol variant was priced at Rs 7.84 lakh, while the diesel variant was priced at Rs 8.94 lakh. I think these updates made the Etios more appealing to buyers looking for a premium feel.

The Toyota Etios hatchback, including the VX variant, achieved a 4-star frontal adult passenger safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test. This was a significant milestone for the safety credentials of the Etios. I believe this rating reassured buyers about the cars safety features.
