Tata Yodha 4x4 Updates

The Tata Yodha 4x4 has been praised for its robust chassis and versatile applications, making it a favorite among fleet owners and operators in India. It is available in both single and crew cabin variants, catering to various commercial needs. The 4x4 variant is particularly notable for its 62% gradeability, allowing it to handle inclines with ease. I think this feature is a game-changer for those who need to navigate challenging terrains.

Tata Motors has introduced the BS6-compliant 2.2-litre diesel engine in the Yodha 4x4, producing 100Hp at 3750rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1000-2500rpm. This upgrade enhances the trucks performance and efficiency, making it more appealing to customers looking for a reliable work vehicle. The engines power and torque ensure smooth gear-shifting and a longer clutch lifespan.

The Tata Yodha 4x4 features a hydraulic double-acting telescopic shock absorber at the rear, which significantly improves ride quality and stability, especially when carrying heavy loads. This suspension system is designed to resist both spring compression and rebound, ensuring a comfortable drive even on bumpy roads. I believe this is a crucial aspect that sets the Yodha apart from its competitors.

The Yodha 4x4 comes with a 52-litre polymer fuel tank, which reduces the need for frequent refueling, making it ideal for long-haul and intercity transportation. This feature, combined with its eco fuel-saving mode, helps in lowering operating costs and increasing profitability for business owners.

Tata Yodha 4x4s crew cabin variant offers enhanced comfort features, including tiltable and collapsible power steering, comfortable bucket seats with headrests, and rear sliding windows for better cabin ventilation. These features are designed to improve driver comfort and performance during long hours of operation.

The Tata Yodha 4x4 has a ground clearance of 190 mm, which is slightly lower than some of its other variants but still sufficient for navigating rough terrain. This, along with its 3150 mm wheelbase, ensures stability and agility in various driving conditions.

In terms of payload capacity, the Yodha 4x4 variants offer up to 1210 kg and 1060 kg for the single cabin and crew cabin respectively, making them suitable for a wide range of commercial applications. This versatility is a key selling point for the Yodha 4x4 in the Indian market.

Tata Motors has positioned the Yodha 4x4 as a challenger in the pickup truck segment, competing directly with market leaders like Mahindra. With its modern styling, comfortable interiors, and robust performance, the Yodha 4x4 is gaining traction among customers looking to upgrade from smaller vehicles.

The ex-showroom price of the Tata Yodha 4x4 in India ranges from Rs. 9.66 lakh to Rs. 10.16 lakh, depending on the variant and location. This pricing makes it a competitive option in the LCV segment, offering good value for money.

The Tata Yodha 4x4 is equipped with semi-elliptical leaf springs at the front and two-stage semi-elliptical leaf springs at the rear, along with hydraulic double-acting telescopic shock absorbers. This suspension setup enhances the trucks ability to handle heavy loads and rough terrain efficiently. I think this is a significant improvement over previous models.
