Tata Sumo Grande (2010) Updates

In 2014, Tata Motors decided to rebrand the Sumo Grande as the Tata Movus to avoid confusion with the ongoing production of the first-generation Tata Sumo. The Movus retained the same mechanical specifications but saw changes in interior trim and a reduced color palette. The move was aimed at streamlining the product lineup, but sales remained disappointing.

The Tata Sumo Grande was known for its robust engine, a 2.2-liter Dicor diesel engine producing 120 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. This powertrain was coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission, making it a reliable choice for both passenger and commercial use. I believe the engines performance was a key selling point for this vehicle.

In terms of safety features, the Tata Sumo Grande (2010) included anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), and rear seat belts. These features were significant improvements over its predecessors and helped in enhancing the vehicles safety profile.
