Tata Motors has officially discontinued the Nexon Jet Edition from their lineup, removing it from their website due to lower demand compared to other editions. The Jet Edition, which was launched in September 2022, was available in petrol and diesel variants with manual and AMT transmissions, and it featured a unique dual-tone bronze exterior color and several luxury interior touches. I believe this move is a strategic decision to focus on more popular variants.

The Nexon Jet Edition was priced starting from Rs. 12.13 lakh for the petrol manual version and went up to Rs. 14.08 lakh for the diesel AMT version. It was based on the XZ+ trim and included additional features like a wireless phone charger, front ventilated seats, and an air purifier with AQI display. I think the discontinuation highlights the competitive nature of the Indian automotive market.

Despite the discontinuation of the Nexon Jet Edition, the Nexon EV Jet Edition remains available, offering a distinct Starlight color scheme and luxurious interior finishes. This suggests that Tata Motors is still keen on maintaining a premium offering in the electric segment. I believe this strategy could attract more buyers looking for unique electric vehicles.

The discontinuation of the Nexon Jet Edition does not affect the overall variety of Nexon models available, as there are still around 60 variants to choose from, including other special editions like the Kaziranga and Dark Editions. This ensures that buyers have plenty of options to customize their vehicle according to their preferences. I think this diversity is a strong point for Tata Motors in the market.

Tata Motors had introduced the Jet Edition across several models, including the Harrier and Safari, but only the Nexon Jet Edition has been discontinued. This indicates that the demand for special editions can vary significantly across different models. I believe this shows how important it is for manufacturers to monitor market feedback closely.
