Business Standard reports that Girish Wagh, senior vice-president of programme planning and management for passenger cars at Tata Motors, has shared that the Vista and Manza have been discontinued in production. Tata replaced these models with the Zest and Bolt, which boast a variety of powertrain options and features.

Tata Motors has officially stopped the sale of the Tata Manza sedan, removing it from their lineup and website. This decision was made due to the cars failure to gain traction as a personal vehicle, largely because it was initially associated with the Indigo, which is commonly used as a taxi. Despite a facelift and rebranding as the Club Class Manza, the car did not appeal to consumers. I believe this move was necessary for Tata to focus on more successful models.

Tata Motors phased out the production of the Manza and Vista models, marking the end of their ageing portfolio of cars. The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers reported zero sales of the Manza since July. The Indica and Indigo eCS, however, continue to be sold in the commercial segment. I think this decision helps Tata Motors streamline their product lineup and focus on more competitive models.

Tata Motors planned to launch a compact sedan based on the Manza by early 2014, as part of their strategy to refresh their lineup for the Indian Auto Expo. This move was part of their aggressive plans for 2013, aiming to launch several new and upgraded models. I think this would have been a great opportunity for Tata to capture a larger market share, but it seems the plan did not materialize.

Tata Motors reduced the prices of the Tata Manza diesel variants by up to Rs 50,000, making the car more competitive in its segment. This price cut was an attempt to boost sales, which had been sluggish. I believe this was a necessary step to make the car more appealing to potential buyers.

In an effort to revamp the Manza, Tata Motors launched a facelifted version tagged as the Club Class Manza. This update aimed to position the car as a competitor to models like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Suzuki SX4. However, the car still struggled to gain market acceptance. I believe the rebranding was a good attempt, but it came a bit too late to change consumer perceptions.
