Renault Scala RxL Updates

Latest Updates
Wednesday, 19 July 2017 04:44 PM Renault India has stopped the production of the Scala sedan, including the RxL variant, due to poor sales. The Scala RxL was available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 99PS of power and 134Nm of torque. This move marks the end of an era for this sedan in the Indian market. I think this decision was inevitable given the declining sales.
Wednesday, 12 November 2014 01:56 PM Renault India introduced a special offer for the Scala RxL Diesel, pricing it at Rs. 8.01 lakh, equivalent to its petrol counterpart. This was part of a campaign to boost sales by offering diesel cars at petrol prices. The offer was limited to available stock. I believe this was a clever move to clear inventory and attract more buyers.
Monday, 16 June 2014 12:06 PM Renault relaunched the Scala Travelogue Edition, which includes the RxL trim, to enhance sales. This limited edition was available in both RxL and RxZ trims and started at Rs. 8,47,866 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Travelogue Edition was designed to attract more customers with its unique features. I think this was a good strategy to revive interest in the model.
Friday, 18 January 2013 07:04 PM The Renault Scala RxL was equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, producing 97 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque. It featured a manual transmission and came with safety features like ABS with EBD and driver and passenger airbags. The car also had an automatic climate control and rear AC vents. I believe these features made it a competitive option in its segment.
Saturday, 25 August 2012 06:02 AM Renault launched the Scala, including the RxL variant, in India at a starting price of Rs. 6.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Scala RxL was part of four variants introduced, aiming to capture a significant share of the sedan market. I think the pricing was aggressive and aimed to attract budget-conscious buyers.
Sunday, 26 August 2012 01:15 AM The Renault Scala RxL was essentially a re-badged version of the Nissan Sunny, with some cosmetic changes. It was part of Renaults strategy to leverage existing platforms to quickly enter the Indian market. I believe this approach helped Renault to quickly establish a presence but may have lacked originality.
