The Nissan Magnite Visia AMT, the base variant with an automatic transmission, has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 6.60 lakh. This variant comes equipped with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed AMT gearbox. It features halogen headlamps, chrome garnished door handles, and 16-inch steel wheels. Inside, it includes a 3.5-inch LCD display at the instrument cluster, adjustable front and rear headrests, and a PM 2.5 cabin air filter. I think this base variant offers good value for money, especially with the addition of the AMT transmission for ease of driving in city traffic.

The Nissan Magnite Visia AMT boasts enhanced safety features, including six airbags, a three-point seatbelt, and seatbelt reminder for all seats. It also comes with ISOFIX child seat anchorages, vehicle dynamic control, traction control system, hill start assist, ABS with EBD, and brake assist. Additionally, it has a tyre pressure monitoring system and rear parking sensors. I believe these safety features make the Magnite a compelling choice in its segment.

In terms of interior updates, the Nissan Magnite Visia AMT now features an all-black interior theme with soft-touch leather elements, which significantly improve the perceived quality of the cabin. It also includes a rear armrest, a 60:40 split rear seat, and power windows. The addition of a PM 2.5 air filter is a welcome feature, especially for urban drivers. I think these interior enhancements make the Magnite feel more premium and comfortable.

Nissan has introduced new variant names for the Magnite, including the Visia AMT, as part of its global standardization process. This move aims to streamline the naming convention across different markets. The Visia AMT retains the same engine and transmission options as before but benefits from the new naming strategy. I believe this standardization will help in brand recognition and customer familiarity.

The pricing of the Nissan Magnite Visia AMT remains competitive, starting at Rs. 6.60 lakh, which is the same as the outgoing model despite the new updates. This pricing strategy is likely to keep the Magnite competitive in the sub-4 meter SUV segment. I think maintaining the price while adding new features is a smart move by Nissan to attract more buyers.
