MG Hector Plus Blackstorm CVT (7-Seater) Updates

MG Motor India has introduced the MG Hector Plus BlackStorm CVT 7 Seater, a variant that stands out with its all-black interior theme and gun metal grey accents. This model is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged intercooled petrol engine, producing 141.04 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission. The BlackStorm CVT 7 Str is priced at Rs. 22.59 Lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with features like ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and cruise control. I think this variant adds a sleek and premium touch to the Hector Plus lineup, making it an attractive option for those who value both style and functionality.

MG Motor India is offering discounts of up to Rs. 85,000 on the Hector Plus for December 2023. While this discount applies to various variants, it could make the BlackStorm CVT 7 Seater more affordable for buyers. The discount can significantly reduce the financial burden, making the vehicle more attractive during the festive season. I believe such offers can boost sales and make the Hector Plus a more compelling option in its segment.

MG Motor India announced a price hike for their cars, including the Hector Plus, effective from January 1, 2024. Although the exact magnitude of the hike was not specified, it is expected to be in the range of 1-2%. This change could impact the on-road price of the Hector Plus BlackStorm CVT 7 Seater, which currently stands at Rs. 26.03 Lakh in Delhi. I believe this price adjustment might affect buyer decisions, but the Hector Pluss robust feature set and performance should still make it a competitive choice.

For the festive season, MG Motor India launched the Hector Plus Snowstorm edition, although it is not specifically the BlackStorm variant. However, this new edition highlights the companys strategy to offer special editions to attract more buyers. The Snowstorm edition comes with a white and black dual-tone exterior and an all-black interior, similar to the aesthetic of the BlackStorm. I think these special editions can help keep the model fresh and appealing to potential buyers.

The MG Hector Plus BlackStorm CVT 7 Seater features advanced technology, including a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch fully-digital driver’s display, and 11 Autonomous Level 2 features as part of its ADAS system. These features enhance the driving experience and safety of the vehicle. I think the integration of such advanced technology makes the Hector Plus a strong contender in the SUV market, especially for tech-savvy buyers.
