Maruti Swift Diesel VDi Updates

Wednesday, 11 January 2023 11:26 PM Maruti Suzuki has ended the diesel variants of the Swift as the engine was not upgraded to meet the BS6 pollution norms. The 1.3-litre diesel engine has been discontinued, and the model is now powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine.The Swift diesel was driven by a 1.3-litre four cylinder engine that produced 74bhp and 190Nm of torque. This engine was offered with a five-speed manual transmission and an AMT unit. Now, the car is exclusively driven by a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 89bhp and 113Nm of torque.The Maruti Swift diesel variants were offered in six trims, including VDi, VDi AMT, ZDi, ZDi AMT, ZDi Plus, and ZDi Plus AMT.

This special edition is available on the base-spec Lxi, Vxi, and Vxi (O) variants. I think this is a great move to add some extra flair to the base models.
