Mahindra User Reviews - Page 3

I got my red colored new Mahindra Scorpio few days ago. It comes with few aesthetic changes which I like the most. The engine used in it is the same peppy powerful but it is now doing its duty more silently. As company claims that they have made many changes, I am pretty disagree to this. I just found changes in front fascia while the side profile is same. Inside the cabin, dashboard is new other features are same. Another aspects of this SUV that is worth mentioning is the spacious and airy feeling in the cabin. The biggest handling problem of previous model is still remains in this SUV. So, If got a chance to exchange my car, I would change it with XUV500.

The Mahindra XUV500 is an attractive package, providing value to buyers with its powerful engine and long equipment list. It's design is a mixed bag, but I like the overall design. The tail lamp is powerful and looks different at night, even from a distance. There are lots of storage spaces in this SUV and specifically above the centre console which I like the most. Because it is easy to keep parking tickets. Mahindra has done an extremely good job, as far as handling is concerned. There is minimal body roll, even at high speeds. It has great pickup and suspension is also equally good. It has got seating capacity of seven people and is very spacious and comfortable from inside. The six speed manual transmission is little bit notchy and the gears don't reassuringly slot in place, which spoils the whole driving experience a bit. Despite its amazing power output and high kerb weight, it returned a respectable fuel efficiency figure of 12.5 km/l.

Few days backs, I bought new Mahindra Scorpio from Chandigarh. Now the face is more aggressive as compared to previous variant. The headlamps, bumper and grille are all new. The new Scorpio is ergonomically quite interesting with all the operational equipment well in reach. The new gearbox in the SUV gives it improved shift quality, clutch is light too so shifting gears needs less effort than before. One of the weakest point of the Mahindra was the ride and handling balance, and company has done great work to improve it. The tyres offer good grip which leads to comfort-ability while having long trips on tough roads. Considering the weight and price of the car, it definitely performs well in the dynamics section too. The after sales service of the company is good and there hasn't been much complaint about the same. The fuel efficiency of the new Scorpio has gone up nearly 1 kmpl, from the previously-claimed 14.7 kmpl.

The new 2015 Mahindra Thar sports smart interiors along with a completely redesigned dashboard, AC controls and a new centre console. Both front and rear seats are comfortable. As compared to previous model, this face-lifted model has got stylish looks and design. The major changes you can see in the interior where you will find a new dash in beige shade which has slots for a 2 Din audio system. The steering wheel is also new. Other facilities added to the SUV include a windshield demister, a lockable glove-box and a 12V charging point. The car has better off road capabilities which differentiate this model from the previous one. On the exterior side, it has also got some changes which comes in the form of a new plastic cladding over the wheel arches. The company has also added new side steps and clear lens headlamps as well. This is all what I saw when I took test drive of this SUV.

Before starting my review, I would like to mention here that, I am very passionate of off-roading and Thar is the best vehicle up to date. We have Mahindra 'Thar Diesel Di' in our friend circle, so figure out the changes in 2015 is easy for me. Yesterday I went to showroom to have a glimpse of this SUV. The Mahindra has really done good job on this machine now. The all-new black cladding around wheel arches, alloy wheels and plastic front/ rear bumper is what I first noticed. It was looking sporty. When I get in for a test drive, I was amazed with the interior. Thar embossed on center console, leather on gear knob and silver finish on some parts giving it refreshing look. So, I made my mind and booked the new beast for me.

This is a very good looking SUV but with very basic features so make its features according to its looks or you have to offer customised models for market like 1) mHawk engine for better and smooth drive. 2) Hard roof fore cities for safety and batter cooling with a/c. 3) Also make a five seater model with four doors for daily driving and comfort. 4) Please upgrade its dashboard features and build quality. If all the customers wants some accessories like above than its easy and reliable to choose from company made quality and charge accordingly.
