Mahindra has ceased the production of the KUV100 NXT, marking the end of its life cycle. The vehicle was available in petrol, CNG, and diesel variants, though the diesel version was discontinued earlier due to BS6 regulations. The KUV100 NXT was known for its improved styling, additional features, and enhanced safety offerings. I think this move is a sign of Mahindra focusing on newer models and technologies.

The Mahindra KUV100 diesel version was discontinued in 2019 as part of Mahindras plan to overhaul its powertrain portfolio ahead of the Bharat Stage 6 (BS6) regulations. The petrol and electric versions of the KUV100 were retained. This decision was made to comply with stricter emission norms. I believe this was a necessary step to keep up with environmental standards.

Mahindra launched the refreshed version of the KUV100, named the KUV100 NXT, in October 2017. This update included improved styling, more features, and better safety offerings compared to the previous version. The KUV100 NXT also saw changes in the rear design, including a new tail light design and integrated rear reflectors. I think these updates made the KUV100 more competitive in its segment.

In October 2017, Mahindra confirmed that an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) version of the KUV100 NXT would be launched in the first half of 2018. This move was aimed at enhancing the vehicles appeal by offering an automatic transmission option. I believe this would have made the KUV100 more attractive to city drivers.

Mahindra also announced plans to launch an electric version of the KUV100 in 2017, which was expected to hit the market in about a year. The electric KUV100 would feature an all-new electric powertrain and was part of Mahindras strategy to offer electric versions of all its crossover and SUV models. I think this was a forward-thinking move by Mahindra.

The Mahindra KUV100 crossed a significant sales milestone of 50,000 units in just 15 months after its launch in January 2016. The vehicle was available in flexi six-seat and five-seat options and offered personalization with four accessory kits. I believe this sales figure shows the initial popularity of the KUV100.

In February 2016, the Mahindra KUV100 saw high demand, with over 21,000 bookings in just a month since its launch. This led to a waiting period of up to three months for the vehicle. The company was working to increase production to meet the demand. I think this was a strong start for the KUV100 in the Indian market.

Mahindra launched the KUV100 in January 2016, positioning it as a young SUV. The vehicle was available in petrol and diesel engine options, both paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The KUV100 was designed to appeal to a younger demographic with its unique design and features. I believe the launch was well-timed to capture a growing market segment.

The Mahindra KUV100 was designed and manufactured by Mahindra & Mahindra, with production starting in 2016 at the Chakan plant in Maharashtra. The vehicle was part of Mahindras strategy to expand its presence in the compact SUV segment. I think this was an important move for Mahindras product lineup.
