Hyundai Xcent Diesel SX Updates

Latest Updates
Friday, 23 October 2020 09:25 PM The Hyundai Xcent has been discontinued from the Indian market, with the company confirming that it has reached the end of its production run. The car is no longer listed on the Hyundai India website, and dealers have stopped receiving new units. This decision follows the introduction of the Hyundai Aura, which has taken over the sub-4m sedan segment. I believe this move was inevitable given the rising competition and the need for Hyundai to focus on more popular models.
Saturday, 01 April 2017 10:23 AM Hyundai introduced a significant facelift for the Xcent in 2017, which included a new 1.2-litre diesel engine producing 75PS and 190Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This update also brought a redesigned rear end, new LED DRLs, and an improved infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. I think these changes made the Xcent more competitive in its segment, even if it wasnt enough to sustain long-term sales.
Wednesday, 15 March 2017 12:42 PM The 2017 Hyundai Xcent facelift featured a revamped front and rear design, including a larger lower grille, new fog lamps, and LED DRLs. The rear bumper and boot lid were also redesigned to give the car a bolder look. Additionally, the car got a new touchscreen infotainment system and other convenience features like rear AC vents and parking sensors. I believe these aesthetic and feature updates were a step in the right direction, but perhaps came a bit too late to significantly impact sales.
Friday, 17 February 2017 12:15 PM The Hyundai Xcent Diesel SX variant was praised for its improved performance with the new 1.2-litre diesel engine, which offered better torque and a crisper throttle response compared to the older 1.1-litre engine. This variant also came with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear camera, and anti-lock brakes. I think this variant offered good value for money, especially for those looking for a balance between performance and features.
Wednesday, 01 January 2014 07:27 PM The Hyundai Xcent was initially launched in 2014 and quickly gained popularity for its feature-rich offerings, including a touchscreen infotainment system and various safety features like ABS and dual front airbags. However, over time, the competition in the sub-4m sedan segment intensified, leading to a decline in demand for the Xcent. I believe the initial success of the Xcent was a testament to Hyundais ability to pack features into a compact sedan, but the market dynamics eventually caught up.
