Hyundai Elite i20 Sportz Plus Automatic Updates

The Hyundai Elite i20 Sportz Plus, although discontinued, was notable for its 1.2L Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine paired with a CVT transmission. This combination offered a smooth driving experience and an ARAI-reported mileage of 19.8 kmpl. I think the CVT transmission made it a great option for city driving.

The Hyundai i20 Sportz features advanced technology, including an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which connects seamlessly and instantly. The infotainment system also supports voice commands and has USB and AUX ports for added convenience. I believe this makes the driving experience more enjoyable and connected.

In terms of safety, the Hyundai i20 Sportz is well-equipped with six airbags, ABS, EBD, and electronic stability control, making it one of the safest hatchbacks in its segment. I think the emphasis on safety features is a significant selling point for this vehicle.

The Hyundai i20 Sportz, especially the automatic version, has seen a significant price premium, with buyers paying close to Rs. 2 lakhs more compared to the manual variants. This is because the automatic transmission is only available in the Sportz and Asta trims. I think this premium is quite steep, but the convenience of an automatic in Indian traffic can be worth it for many.

Hyundai has been facing component shortages, leading to variations in the features of the Sportz trim. For instance, some Sportz trims are being dispatched with fully automatic temperature control (FATC) while others are not, despite the FATC being a standard feature. I believe this inconsistency can be frustrating for buyers who expect certain features.
